The Marakas enterprise paves its own trails in the field of organic olive growing and organic, extra virgin olive oil production, emphasizing on research, experimentation and trial.

Besides being the main resource of income for the olive grower, the olive grove is a field of wisdom, energy, learning and intergenerational legacy.

In our times it is our duty to reexamine the current methods and practices of farming and over exploitation. Nature sets its boundaries and it is upon us to find more sustainable and efficient ways to use our available resources. The sooner, the better, for us and for the generations to come.

The Marakas olive grove is a 100 years old. Throughout the years and generations, there have been successes, failures, misfortunes and times of good fortunes.

The extract derived from this long experience, is the conviction that if you remain a persistently penetrative observant of nature (the land, the trees, the climate) and if there is an advanced know-how on methods and technological systems that respect the environment, then the outcome will compensate you financially, qualitatively and emotionally.

Our business’s goal is to produce premium organic, extra virgin olive oil, while minimizing our environmental footprint in waste disposal and in fossil fuel energy consumption. Among the routes we take in research and development, we often come up with new byproducts that can have multiple uses in our everyday lives, such as natural soaps and shampoo made by our olive oil.
