A GIFT OF FLAVOR & HEALTH

The extra virgin, organic olive oil OREINO Marakas Organic EVOO is a blend of two varieties, 90% Koroneiki and 10% Tsounati.

Its limited volume of production, as well as the method of production, result in an olive oil that is rich in chemical nutrients and distinct flavor specifications.

Specifically, one may distinguish a medium to intense fruity aroma from fresh grass, herbs and tomato while its mildly bitter and spicy flavor come a harmonious equilibrium.

Description

OREiNO Marakas Organic EVOO

The olive groves of Oreino Marakas are found on the hilly terraces of Kyparissou-Manoliopoulou area in the Chania Prefecture of Crete.

We own around 10.000 olive trees, some of which are over 50 years old. We apply organic olive farming, certified by BIOHELLAS-BIOSUISSE, by operating according to strict specifications that ensure the premium quality of the end product.

Harvesting takes place when the olives are still unripe with the use of electric tools, free of combustion motor engines, in order to extinguish exhaust fumes’ residuals. The olive oil production takes place in our private two-phase current, olive mill, following a cold pressing and the extraction of the core. After the extraction, the extra virgin, organic olive oil OREINO MARAKAS, is filtered and stored in inox tanks with the use of Argon up to the day of its bottling.

The varieties of olive trees that we grow for the production of Oreino Marakas EVOO, are mainly the Koroneiki and secondly to a smaller extent the Tsounati.
